More injuries meant just the 11 players for the League Cup group match at home to Cheshunt.
Having recently beaten them we were looking for the same result.
We started with Alana in goal and a back four of Bella, Diya, Taylor and Zara. Alice, Lucy and Poppy were in midfield with a front three of Alexia, Lexi and Ruby.
A positive start saw the girls in the Cheshunt half looking for the opening goal but unable to convert possession into a clear cut chance and goal.
It was pleasing to see work done in training on defence be brought into the match when Cheshunt attacked.
The girls were getting joy on the wings with Alexia and Ruby causing their fullbacks problems.
The back four were restricting chances at goal and the midfield working hard to win the battles.
A goalless first half but positive things seen.
A similar start to the second half with possession in Harvesters favour and when the ball found the wingers we caused problems for the Cheshunt back line but unable to beat the keeper.
Lexi moved to left wing and sent in some threatening crosses for Lucy up front.
With time running out and a penalty shoot out looming the girls couldn’t close down a shot which crept in under the crossbar to give Cheshunt the lead.
The girls pressed for the equaliser for the final 5 minutes but were unable to find it and the match finished 1-0 to our visitors.
Credit to the 11 girls for not giving up without subs.
